Cheekwood Gardens and Art Museum is on the list of things you want to do in Nashville. The center showcases art year-round and as for the gardens… if they’re this magnificent in the winter, I can only imagine what they’ll be like come spring and summer.
My favorite part of the gardens was the log house, a tiny cabin big enough for adults to climb the stairs and go inside.
Cheekwood hosts another one of Nashville’s huge mansions on a hill that reminds us who we’re not, but its gardens keep the estate from being aloof and pretentious. The gardens are expansive, inclusive. They call visitors outside to reconnect with nature, together… to step through the doors into playful fantasy and daydreams.
Step through the doors… wild things await you in the garden.
