Explorers Squared on Broadway

Using the internet to connect gets a bad rap.  For young professionals who travel, work long hours, and struggle to connect, using the internet just makes sense… and not just for cheap hookups, but for friends to hang out with as well.  I’d never used dating apps before, but last Friday night I did a little research and found an app called Bumble.

February Edition: What Has She Been Up To???

Thank you all so much for keeping up with my blog!  I hope you’ve been enjoying reading about my few weeks in Nashville, Tennessee.  I wanted to write today about some other things I’m doing, though – if you know me, you know there’s always so much going on in my life.  I’m a dreamer and schemer.  I’m not exactly hanging out in Nashville waltzing through tourist attractions while my life merrily drifts by.  “Write my blog” is only one item on a huge daily to-do list.  So what else is on the list?  What HAVE I been up to?  Here’s a list of my top five side pursuits:

Ahoy, Vanderbilt!

I injured my Achilles tendon when I was eighteen.  This is relevant because the injury still flares up sometimes with changes in footwear, too much strain, changes weather, cycles of the moon, whatever.  Today was one of those days I woke up optimistic but by 7:30 a.m., accepted that the day’s pace would literally be… limping.  Problem: by then, I was on campus exploring Vanderbilt University.

Cheekwood Gardens

Cheekwood Gardens and Art Museum is on the list of things you want to do in Nashville.  The center showcases art year-round and as for the gardens… if they’re this magnificent in the winter, I can only imagine what they’ll be like come spring and summer.
